Two policemen attack a photojournalist during the 36th anniversary of the student massacre commemoration march in Mexico City, October 2, 2004. In 1968 the Mexican Government surrounded and opened fire on thousands of students in peaceful protest. The students were protesting for better education and more equal rights for all. They were calling for 'greater democracy.' This event took place on October 2, which was the eve of the 1968 Olympics which was going to be held in Mexico City.
